Account Manager

COMPENSATION

This role pays between $50,000 - $70,000 depending on relevant experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Manager is responsible for executing marketing and PR activities for assigned clients and additional leadership duties for process improvement, administration, and training staff. The Account Manager has a proven expertise in a specific tactical area and is tasked with increasing autonomy as it relates to client interactions. The executive management team offers general supervision to the Account Manager but the President serves as their direct supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Bachelor’s degree

● Minimum of four to five years of proven experience; preferred three of those years in an agency setting

● Knowledge of basic public relations, social media, marketing, and advertising with solid research, writing, and editing skills

● Has demonstrated a tactical expertise in one of the following areas: media relations, online/digital media, copywriting, creative, strategic planning, marketing, process development, or account leadership

● Must be organized, proactive, resourceful, forward-thinking, and comfortable creating and delivering ideas and suggestions both internally and externally

● Ability to multi-task and prioritize a heavy and diverse workload while working with multiple client contacts across a broad spectrum of departments within an organization

● Contribute to staff development by encouraging, mentoring and leading junior staff in either process or client-related work

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Execute tactics for Bohlsen Group accounts in a demonstrated specialty area

● Execute full strategic marketing plans for clients

● Write marketing materials, including press releases, pitches, content calendars, social media and other materials

● Contribute to vision for measurable objectives for each client

● Adhere and contribute to the development of operational processes that help specific company or client initiatives

● Present strategic ideas to team for consideration on behalf of client

● Lead client meetings and conference calls with other staff members as needed

● Effectively translate strategy into execution while incorporating client key message and branding

● Mobilize company resources, including tools and staff, to accomplish objectives and execute strategies

● Participate as part of a team or an individual tactical lead, as necessitated by the unique needs of each client account

ADDITIONAL SKILLS, VARYING BY TACTICAL AREA

● Developing PR, social and online/digital media creative briefs, campaigns, and timelines

● Leading brainstorm meetings with staff

● Developing and implementing social media content for client accounts

● Developing and implementing digital campaigns for client accounts

● Producing videography or photography for client projects

● Compiling weekly updates for clients

● Conducting grassroots outreach and conducting partnerships for assigned client accounts

● Participate in various team meetings on a regular basis to assess and contribute

● Stay up to date on industry trends in order to share with management and recommend improvements and updates to service lines

● Contribute to the writing of blogs, case studies, and other agency materials for the Bohlsen Group website and social media outreach

● Uphold Bohlsen Group’s commitment to socially responsible and environmentally sustainable business by participating in company-wide recycling and voluntary health and wellness programs, if desired
