Senior Account Executive
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree. The candidate must have knowledge of basic public and new media relations with solid research, writing and editing skills. A grasp of how social media and digital assets play a part in a client’s overall communications plan is a must. Experience with marketing and advertising necessary. Minimum of ten years proven experience required, preferably in a fast-paced agency working on several accounts at a time.
General
- Contribute to the research, development and writing of Bohlsen Group marketing/PR materials, as necessary
- Contribute to the writing of blogs and regular updates, general info inquiries and white papers, etc. for the Bohlsen Group website and social media outreach
- Develop new business as time allows (company profit sharing plan)
Client Work
- Act as part of a team and/or lead on assigned Bohlsen Group accounts
- Participate in client meetings and conference calls
- Strategize and conduct strategic PR and new media relations that create favorable coverage, incorporating clients' key messages
- Address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Coach company spokespersons
- Develop PR and new media campaigns and time lines
- Create PR and new media distribution lists
- Write PR and new media materials
- Pitch and coordinate PR and new media stories with media specialists
- Manage projects working with staff and vendors
- Conduct monthly client activity reporting
- Compile PR and new media results for clients
- Evaluate campaign results against objectives
- Take responsibility for budgetary issues, including account profitability
- Connect clients with each other and other community orgs, corporations, etc. as necessary
- Oversee work of Account Executives, strategizing and guiding their efforts every step of the way
- Contribute to the research, development and writing of new business proposals
