Dassie Rice (@DassieRice) traveled coast to coast to find the type of internships that would prepare her for a career in PR. As an events intern in Indianapolis, she promoted music and performance acts, cross-country auto shows and golf tournaments, and helped with a digital media audit for the Indianapolis Colts. In New York, she worked on national and international promotion of the world’s premier marketing and design association’s global conference. She created social media buzz from the Chicago Auto Show and promoted a university and a shopping mall in Peoria, Ill. In Los Angeles, Dassie worked on fashion launch parties and talent relations.
Now an account coordinator/literary publicist at Bohlsen Group, Dassie supports a variety of clients. She also handles publicity for indie authors for one of our largest clients, Author Solutions Inc.
Dassie graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
