CREATIVE MANAGER

Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000, depending on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Creative Manager is responsible for creative direction for Bohlsen Group and specific client accounts. Being a boutique agency, the Creative Manager should be able to manage and independently produce and concept all design elements (in Adobe programs), videos, photography, etc. for the agency and their assigned client partner.

The Creative Manager works closely with other team members and executive staff to help determine overall branding strategy, company-wide processes, and mentoring/training of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree in a related field

  • Minimum of four years of experience; bonus if the applicant has previous experience in an agency setting

  • Ability to comfortably present to clients

  • Experience creating logos, branding materials, campaigns, and style guides

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

  • Experience or comfort negotiating and interacting with print, audio, video, and other vendors

  • Proficiency using InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Knowledge of user experience design; including responsive website design

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to ensure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved

  • Plan, develop, and defend budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide both profitable and quality service to clients

  • Provide detailed information and cost estimates to assure accurate data on which to plan and develop functional objectives and budgets leading to stable and profitable accounts

  • Oversee creative consultations with account teams to ensure appropriate creative strategies, schedules, budgets, production support, necessary reviews, and client presentations are maintained

  • Oversee assigned staff and vendors on their execution of all creative efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on budget, and on schedule

  • Maintain external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required

  • Participate in new business efforts, as directed

  • Manage any additional staff brought on to the creative team including but not limited to junior designers and design interns

GENERAL AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions with internal staff

  • Participate in various team meetings regularly

  • Stay up to date on industry trends to recommend improvements and updates to service lines

  • Contribute to the writing of blogs, case studies, and other agency materials for the Bohlsen Group website and social media platforms

  • Uphold Bohlsen Group’s commitment to socially responsible and environmentally sustainable business practices
