Microsoft CEO a bully, author says

In the 1990s, Microsoft was one of the world's most valuable - and most influential - companies.

A key piece of the team that made the company so successful was former Senior Vice President Joachim Kempin, who was dubbed by the press as "Microsoft's secret power broker." Known for his ability to drive hard bargains, Kempin worked alongside Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer to make Microsoft Windows the No. 1 software brand in the world.

Now, a decade after his retirement, Kempin opens up about his experience in the upper echelons of Microsoft with his new book, Resolve and Fortitude: Microsoft's 'Secret Power Broker' breaks his silence.

Following the release of the book, media outlets around the world expressed interest in speaking with Kempin about his thoughts on Microsoft's current struggles and his recommendations regarding the future of Bill Gates and current CEO Steve Ballmer.

Bohlsen Group worked alongside Kempin to publicize Resolve and Fortitude and secure interviews with national and international outlets such as:

Reuters

Bloomberg TV

CNBC

Yahoo! Finance

The Seattle Times

Fox Business

Computing magazine (UK)

ComputerWorld

The Huffington Post

F.A.Z. (Germany)

Resolve and Fortitude also held the #1 ranking on Amazon Kindle's IT e-book category in just the first week of the publicity campaign.

Academy students, educators give face to rising ADHD rates

No one understands the challenges posed by such learning differences as dyslexia and ADHD better than the students and teachers at Fortune Academy.

The comprehensive K-12 day school is one of only 11 nationwide at its level of accreditation to educate students with language learning differences.

Academy students and teachers shared their experiences with TV viewers when Indianapolis ABC affiliate RTV-6 featured the school in a story on rising ADHD rates.

The report cited new research that revealed ADHD diagnoses climbed 25 percent from 2001 to 2010.

“I think there’s more understanding about children and their learning differences,” said Janet George, Fortune Academy’s founder and head of school. “Parents want to figure out what’s going on with their children.”

For the perspective of a Fortune Academy student, watch the video below.
