Andy Wilson

Vice President, Development and Public Relations

Andy Wilson (@awilsonindy) has been immersed in the Midwest music and event scene since 1997. In his career, Andy has handled PR, publicity and various marketing initiatives for major media events, including multiple Farm Aid concerts, stadium shows for the likes of Kenny Chesney and NSYNC, such major arena and summer tours as Paul McCartney, U2, Britney Spears, Chris Tomlin and Van Halen, tour launches for Lollapalooza, The Eagles and CSNY, major festivals including the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and various multi-day festivals throughout the country.

He began in the entertainment business serving as the director of public relations and promotions for Sunshine Promotions and its evolution as SFX Entertainment and Clear Channel Entertainment to Live Nation. In his tenure, Andy handled communications and various marketing initiatives for Indianapolis venues Klipsch Music Center (formerly Verizon Wireless & Deer Creek), the Old National Centre and the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park, as well as the Louisville Palace Theater and Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati. During this time, he worked on more than 300 concerts and special events annually in cities across the Midwest including Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington, Evansville, St. Louis, Dayton, Cincinnati, Fort Wayne and South Bend. Wilson also oversaw the national grassroots program for Clear Channel’s Music Division and handled its internal national publicity communications systems. 

In 2006, Andy joined Live-360, where he handled marketing strategies and implementation at 15 venues across America. During this time he also oversaw PR efforts for a myriad of clients including two outdoor amphitheaters in Atlanta, multiple bbq festivals across the Midwest and PR shows including Star Wars In Concert, Walking with Dinosaurs, Kenny Chesney while also managing Midwest rock band The Elms.

In 2010, Andy joined Bohlsen Group where he is responsible for developing new business while also overseeing the event and entertainment department. In the past two years at Bohlsen Group Wilson has worked on a wide range of projects and initiatives aimed at driving attendance, awareness and revenue for the likes of NCAA Tourney Town, Riverbend Music Center, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, Klipsch Music Center, PNC Pavilion, Super Bowl XLVI Village Concerts, the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park and many more. 

Andy also serves as an adjunct professor at Butler University, where he teaches entertainment marketing and music business courses.

Andy earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Franklin College.
